Wix product uploadsfrom your supplier’s spreadsheet
Send the spreadsheet exactly as your supplier sent it. We hand back the same products in the import format your Wix store reads, with every product matched, the gaps filled from sources you can check, and the formats fixed. You check it, then import it.

How it works
Send the file as it arrived
Any columns, any names, no template to fill in. A SKU or barcode on each row is enough to start.
We get it ready for Wix
Every product is matched to the real thing and checked against a source. The gaps are filled, the formats are fixed, and the rows follow the import format your store reads, with every size and colour tied to its product by one handle.1
You check it, then import it
Nothing goes live without your sign-off. When you are happy, you open Store Products in your dashboard, click More Actions, then Import, and upload the file.1
Where supplier spreadsheets break a Wix import
Wix’s import is exact about its codes and quiet about its defaults, and the quiet ones do the damage. Each of these is in Wix’s own help pages, linked below.
A blank stock cell that means sold out
Before(blank)
Afterflagged for you to set
On Wix’s new product catalog a stock cell left empty is not ignored: “Fields left blank are automatically marked OUT_OF_STOCK”.1 On the previous catalog the same blank meant in stock.2 Suppliers leave stock out all the time, and it is yours to set anyway, so every blank is flagged before the import rather than left to it.
One size, three spellings
BeforeKSKing SizeKING
AfterKing
A product row lists each choice once, separated by semicolons, and each size’s row names one of them.1 Spell King three ways and Wix sees three sizes, or stops: on the previous catalog its errors include “Each option choice must be unique” and a size row that does not “correspond to the information entered in the product row”.3 Options can be your shop’s filters too, and Wix’s advice is to group similar choices together.4 Every spelling is folded onto one.
Photos given as file names
Beforefs400_1.jpg, fs400_2.jpg
Afterone image link per row
On the new catalog each photo takes a row of its own holding one image link, and the order of the rows is the order on your product page.1 A cell of file names from a supplier’s folder is neither a link nor one per row. We open every link before the file is built and swap thumbnails for the full-size original.
Barcodes Excel has rounded
Before5.01235E+12 on every size
Aftereach size’s own EAN
Box sizes in one cell, in inches
Before12 x 9.5 x 2.4 in
After30.48, 24.13 and 6.1, in cm
Wix takes a box’s length, width and height in three columns, all three or none, and its unit column “Must match the store’s measurement unit setting”, or the row is an error.1 A supplier’s one cell of inches is split into its three parts and converted to your store’s unit first.
Names too long for Wix
BeforeF/
SHEET 400TC EGYPTIAN COTTON® XTRA DEEP DBL WHT, HOTEL QUALITY LUXURY BEDDING RANGE After400 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Fitted Sheet, White
Euro prices in a sterling shop
Before€8.40
Afterflagged for you to price in pounds
Wix keeps the number and changes the currency: in its own example, a product priced at 50 euros imported into a dollar store shows as $50.1 A supplier’s euro prices are flagged for you to set in pounds, so none goes on sale at the wrong amount.
What you get back
A Google Sheet or Excel file laid out in Wix’s import format, one tab per category, and the same products before and after so you can see exactly what changed.
Every product matched and checked
Each SKU or barcode is matched to the real product, and every source page is checked to make sure it really shows that product.
The gaps filled, with sources
Missing specifications, descriptions and images are found on manufacturer and retailer pages, and every value keeps a link to where it came from, so anyone on your team can check it.
One spelling for every size and colour
KS, King Size and KING become the one choice you pick, so your product options and filters offer one King, not three, and every future file lands on the same word.
Names and descriptions written from the facts
Product names and descriptions are written from the values already in the data, to length limits that are enforced, not hoped for.
Images that will import
The full-size original behind every thumbnail, with logos, badges and duplicates taken out, and every link opened before the file is built.
A score before anything goes live
One quality score for the file and a grade for each product, worst first, so you know what to look at. It warns and never blocks.

Questions Wix sellers ask
What Wix sellers ask before they send us a file. Anything else, ask us and a person answers.
Do you upload the products to my Wix store?
No, you run the import yourself, from Store Products in your dashboard. Wix then shows a summary, lists any errors by row and offers Generate Error CSV for the detail, so a row it could not take is easy to find. With many products, Wix says the images can take up to an hour to upload, and you can keep working while they do.
Which Wix import format do you use?
The one your store reads. Wix is releasing a new product creation page, and its import differs from the previous version’s: the previous template takes up to 15 image links in one cell, separated by semicolons, while the new one wants a row for every image. If the first field you see when you add a product is Images and videos, your store is on the previous version.
Will importing it change products I already have?
Only through Wix’s own export. On the previous version, the blank template adds products and “Wix CSV with your products” updates existing ones. On the new version you export from the Import screen, edit that file and import it back, and your products “update to reflect the new data”. Keep each row’s handle, which is how Wix identifies the product, and leave the columns as they are.
How do sizes and colours go into a Wix import?
In the new version’s file, each size or colour is a VARIANT row under its PRODUCT row, carrying the same handle, and the product row lists every choice once. An option is TEXT_CHOICES, or SWATCH_CHOICES for colour swatches, and a product can have up to six options with 100 choices each. Every choice is spelt the same way on every row, so each variant row matches a choice on its product row.
Will the import put products into my Wix categories?
Yes. On the new version the categorySlugs column takes every category a product is in, separated by semicolons, and an import can create a category but cannot nest it, so subcategories are built in the dashboard. On the previous version the column is collection, leaving out All products. Either way, each product is filed into the categories your store already has.
Will new products show in my store straight away?
Yes, unless the file says otherwise. Wix’s visible column takes TRUE or FALSE, in capitals, and a blank cell is “marked as TRUE”, so a product left blank goes live as soon as it imports. FALSE keeps it hidden until you are ready.
How many products can one file hold?
On the new version, a file holds 10,000 rows and 15 MB, and rows past the 10,000th are not imported. Every size and every photo takes a row of its own there, so a large range goes in over several files. On the previous version the limit is 5,000 rows per file.
Doing it yourself?
Everything on this page is written up in full on the blog, with Wix’s own pages cited, and every word of the trade is in the glossary in plain English.
