Amazon product uploads, preparedfrom your supplier’s spreadsheet
Send the spreadsheet exactly as your supplier sent it. For every product we find and check what Amazon’s catalogue tests: the barcode its maker gave it, the brand on the label, a title inside the new 75 characters, sizes set up as one family and a proper main image. You list them with Amazon’s own spreadsheet or your listing tool.

How it works
Send the file as it arrived
Any columns, any names, no template to fill in. A SKU or barcode on each row is enough to start.
We find and check what Amazon asks for
You list with it
Nothing goes live without your sign-off. You get one clean column per detail, ready to copy into Amazon’s Product Spreadsheet, the template for products not yet in its catalogue, or into your listing tool.3
Where supplier spreadsheets fall short of Amazon
Amazon’s catalogue is shared. Your upload is matched to product pages that other sellers and brand owners write to as well, and it is checked against them. These are the gaps a supplier’s file shows there, each with Amazon’s own help page linked.
Titles over 75 characters
BeforeLUXURY 400TC 100% COTTON PERCALE FITTED SHEET WHITE ALL SIZES DEEP POCKET!! FREE P&P
AfterHollinsby 400 Thread Count Cotton Percale Fitted Sheet, White, King
Since 27 July 2026, titles in every category except media must be 75 characters or less, spaces included, and Amazon is rewriting longer ones itself, “to the AI recommendation”.42 They must not contain an exclamation mark or promotional phrases either.2 Our titles are written with AI as well, but from the product’s own specs and for you to check before anything is uploaded, so the 75 characters say what you approve, not what Amazon’s AI picks. Amazon’s own tool will draft a title too, and recommends that you “review it thoroughly and ensure all product details are accurate” before publishing it.5
Barcodes the spreadsheet has rounded
Before5.01235E+12
After5012345678900
An EAN has 13 digits, and Amazon checks every one against GS1’s records. Codes that do not match “will be considered invalid” and are removed.67 Excel turns a long barcode into scientific notation when it opens a file.8 The real number is put back from the product itself. It is never made up and never bought from a reseller of codes, which Amazon prohibits.7
The supplier’s name in the brand column
BeforeACME HOME LTD
AfterHollinsby
Amazon’s rule is short: “The brand value must match the name of the brand on the product”. A brand name it has not approved stops the listing with error 5665.910 We find each product’s brand from the product itself, whatever the supplier put in that column.
Every size in one cell
BeforeSingle/
Double/ King/ S.King Aftera parent row and four children
Amazon wants sizes as a family: a parent row with no barcode or price, and a child row for each size with its own SKU and its own barcode. Putting more than one characteristic in a single variation attribute is on its list of what not to do.1 Each size is split onto a child row of its own, with its own barcode found at source.
Sizes that will not join one family
BeforeHollinsbyHOLLINSBY BEDDING
AfterHollinsby, on every child
Children whose shared details differ cannot be grouped into one family, and brand is one of the details that must be the same on every child.11 Amazon does not build families for sellers, and two families for one product break its listing policies.12 Every child’s shared details are spelt the same way, so the family holds together.
Bullet points with banned claims
BeforeECO-FRIENDLY!! 100% COTTON, FITS 12in MATTRESS.
AfterDeep pocket: Fits mattresses up to 30 cm deep
Amazon lists “eco-friendly” among the claims a bullet point must not make, wants a space between a number and its unit, and asks for a short header with a colon. Bullets that break its rules “may be removed or updated”.13 Each bullet is written from the specs, and the source of every figure is kept.
Thumbnails as the main image
Beforefs400_thumb.jpg, 300 × 300, on a made bed
Afterthe maker’s full-size packshot on white
A main image needs a pure white background, the product filling 85% of the frame and at least 500 pixels on its longest side. From 1,000 pixels shoppers can zoom.14 Fitted sheets are not among the few product types allowed a room shot as the main image.15 Without a compliant one, Amazon may take the listing out of search.14 We find the full-size original behind every thumbnail.
What you get back
A Google Sheet or Excel file with one clean column for each detail Amazon asks for, and the same products before and after so you can see exactly what changed.
Every product matched and checked
We match each SKU or barcode to the real product, and check that every source page really shows that product.
The gaps filled, with sources
We find missing specifications, descriptions and images on manufacturer and retailer pages. Every value keeps a link to where it came from, so anyone on your team can check it.
Barcodes and brands that are the maker’s
Every product is matched to the real one by its code, so the EAN in the file is the one its maker gave it and the brand is the one on the label, not a supplier’s stock code or company name.
Titles and descriptions written from the facts
Titles, bullet points and descriptions are written from the values already in the data, to Amazon’s limits, enforced rather than hoped for.
Images measured, not guessed
We measure every image, find the full-size original behind each thumbnail, and take out logos, badges and duplicates, so you know which products still need a better photo.
A score before anything goes live
You get one quality score for the file and a grade for each product, worst first, so you know what to look at. It warns and never blocks.

Questions Amazon sellers ask
What Amazon sellers ask before they send us a file. Anything else, ask us and a person answers.
Is this an Amazon listing service?
No, we never list on Amazon for you. Our part comes before you upload. Amazon matches each listing by its barcode to a product page in its catalogue, and other sellers can add to that page too, so the EAN, brand and title need to be right before they get there. We find and check each one against a source, and you list with Amazon’s spreadsheet or your listing tool.
Product Spreadsheet or Listing Loader: which do I need?
It depends on whether Amazon has the product already. The Listing Loader adds your offer to a product in its catalogue and needs little more than the product ID, price, quantity and condition. The Product Spreadsheet is for products Amazon does not have. It takes the full details and creates a new product page. Both need a Professional selling plan. The barcode decides the match, so we find the maker’s own for every row.
Will it change listings I already have?
Amazon is already changing some of them. Since 27 July 2026, titles still over 75 characters are being rewritten “to the AI recommendation”, gradually, while the listings stay live. Nothing of ours reaches Amazon until you upload it. Send us those SKUs and each title comes back written from the product’s specs, inside 75 characters. Every detail that did not fit stays in its own column, ready for the 125 characters of Item highlights.
What if a product has no barcode?
Amazon’s answer is a GTIN exemption, which you request. One granted for a parent product type covers the types beneath it, so a “Party_Supplies” exemption also covers “Balloon”. The photos sent with a request must show every side of the product and its packaging, with no GS1 barcode. A product that has a barcode can use it as its ID, so we search for the maker’s code first and never make one up.
What barcode goes on a multipack?
The pack’s own. Amazon asks for the product ID of that pack and its item quantity, not the ID of a single item inside it. So each row is matched to the pack it really describes: a box of six gets the box’s own barcode. Where we cannot find one, the cell is left for you rather than filled with the single item’s. Amazon also accepts only multipacks the manufacturer created as variations.
What goes in the brand field?
The brand on the product or its packaging. Do not use the supplier’s company name, a SKU or a description of the product. Where a product carries no brand at all, Amazon’s value is “generic”, even for a cable made to fit a branded speaker. A brand Amazon has not approved yet needs brand name approval first.
What do errors 5664, 5665 and 5668 mean?
All three are brand errors. 5665 means Amazon has not approved the brand name entered. 5664 means you may be listing an unbranded product without “generic” as its brand, and 5668 that the brand is missing. The name in an approval application must have exactly the characters you want on the product page, or the error can come back. We find each brand on the product, spelt as printed. Applying is yours, and one approval covers every country.
Can Amazon’s own AI not do this?
It can draft one. Give Amazon’s tool a few keywords or a product image and it writes the title, bullet points and description, content “that you can review and edit”, and Amazon recommends checking every product detail is accurate before you publish. We write ours with AI as well, but from values that each come with a link to the page they came from, so that check takes a click.
Doing it yourself?
Everything on this page is written up in full on the blog, with Amazon’s own pages cited, and every word of the trade is in the glossary in plain English.
