TikTok Shop product uploads, preparedfrom your supplier’s spreadsheet

Send the spreadsheet exactly as your supplier sent it. For every product we find and check what TikTok Shop’s review looks at: weights in grams and sizes in centimetres, the brand on the pack, a barcode for each colour, one row per colour with everything else the same, and photos that are big enough and actually load. The black one of a bottle sold in three colours, as a supplier sent it and as TikTok Shop’s bulk template reads it. Each colour is a row of its own. Everything except the colour, its photo, price, stock and SKU must be exactly the same on every row, or TikTok cannot treat them as one product. The product is an example.1

How it works

  1. Send the file as it arrived

    Any columns, any names, and no template to fill in. A SKU or barcode on each row is enough to start.

  2. We find and check what TikTok Shop asks for

    Every product is matched to the real thing. The brand on the pack, the barcode its maker gave it, the weight and sizes, the colours and photos are found and checked against a source. Titles are written from the specs, with no promotions in them.2

  3. You list with it

    Nothing goes live without your sign-off. You download TikTok Shop’s template for your category and brand in Seller Center, copy the clean columns in and upload it. TikTok then reviews each product before it goes on sale.13

Where supplier spreadsheets fall short of TikTok Shop

Every product goes through TikTok Shop’s review before it is listed, and its bulk template is strict about units and rows. These are the gaps a supplier’s file shows there, each with TikTok Shop’s own page linked.

  • Promotions in the title

    TikTok Shop’s listing rules keep marketing out of titles, with “x% off” as their own example, along with symbols and special characters.2 A title should run to more than 25 characters and ideally no more than 80.3 Titles are written from the product’s own specs, and the colour is left to the variation.

    The template takes the parcel’s weight in grams and its length, width and height in centimetres, as numbers only, and imperial units are refused for UK products.14 Every value is converted and split into its own cell first. TikTok wants the parcel as shipped, packaging included, so a supplier’s weight for the product alone is flagged for you.3

    TikTok Shop checks the format of every EAN, which must be 8, 13 or 14 digits and numbers only, and a variation’s code cannot be changed once it is submitted.15 Excel turns a long barcode into scientific notation when it opens a file.6 We put the real number back from the product itself while it can still be fixed.

    In TikTok Shop’s words, “each variation must have a unique product identifier code”, and a code entered twice is refused.54 Where a supplier column repeats one code down every colour, we match it back to each colour’s own. Where we cannot find one, the cell is left for you and never filled with a copy.

    Each colour is a row of its own, and everything except the variation, its photo, price, stock and SKU must match exactly: “Otherwise, we cannot consider those items as different variants of the same product.”1 Listing each colour as a separate product is not allowed either.7 The shared details are written once and copied exactly onto every row.

    TikTok Shop’s listing guide asks for images of at least 800 by 800 pixels, and every link in the template must point straight at the picture.21 We open every link before the file is built and swap thumbnails for the full-size original.

  • The brand left blank, or listed as No Brand

    Since TikTok Shop’s August 2026 policy update, the brand field “must show the actual brand on the product, packaging, and labelling”, and a branded product left blank or marked No Brand may not be approved or may be removed.8 We find each product’s brand from the product itself. Brand authorisation is then your own request to TikTok, with proof you may sell that brand.9

  • Images measured, not guessed

    Every image is measured, the full-size original behind each thumbnail is found, and logos, badges and duplicates are taken out, so you know which products still need a better photo.

  • A score before anything goes live

    You get one quality score for the file and a grade for each product, worst first, so you know what to look at. It warns and never blocks.

What TikTok Shop sellers ask before they send us a file. Anything else, ask us and a person answers.

Is this a TikTok Shop listing service?

Not one that lists for you. Publishing on TikTok Shop sends a product for review, and it is listed only once approved, so what you send has to be right first time. A variation’s barcode cannot be changed after it is submitted, either. We get the data ready beforehand: weights, sizes, brand, barcodes and photos, each found and checked against a source. You check it, and you submit it.

How do the products get into TikTok Shop?

For a supplier’s range, through TikTok Shop’s bulk template. In Seller Center you select a category and brand(s), download the template, copy our columns in and upload it, with each file no bigger than 5 MB. If anything fails, the Online Editor highlights the cell, and you fix it and submit without uploading again. Products can also be added one by one on the Seller Center website or app, or come in through the app you list with.

What does TikTok Shop’s bulk template ask for?

Every product needs a category, a name, a description, a price, a quantity and a main image link. It also needs the package weight in grams and its length, width and height in centimetres, as numbers only. Brand and barcode are optional, though a branded product must carry its brand, and colour becomes mandatory once a product has variations. Some categories add more, such as a size chart. We find the product facts. Price and stock are yours.

Do I need a barcode?

TikTok Shop’s own pages differ on which categories require one, and it recommends a valid one wherever possible. Each colour or size needs its own, registered with GS1, and once submitted it cannot be changed. We never invent a barcode or copy one across colours.

Which brand goes in?

The brand printed on the product, its packaging and labelling. TikTok Shop’s August 2026 policy says so, and adds that wholesaler qualification does not change it. TikTok rules out a blank, “No Brand” or your shop name for a branded product, and your own trademark unless it is the one on the pack. We find each brand from the product itself, spelt as the pack spells it, and you confirm it before anything is submitted.

I resell other brands. Which authorisation do I need?

That depends on who gave you permission. A letter straight from the trademark owner makes you a 1st Level Authorised Seller. Permission from an authorised distributor makes you a 2nd Level Authorised Seller, and you send both letters, the owner’s and the distributor’s. Proof of purchase is open only to selected sellers. You apply in the Qualification Centre, and once approved the brand name cannot be changed. The application is yours, and we prepare the product data.

Can each colour be its own listing?

No. TikTok Shop lists the colours of one product as variations of it. It treats separate listings of the same item as duplicates and keeps only one of them active.

Can I copy my Amazon listings to TikTok Shop?

One at a time. TikTok Shop’s List with a URL takes Amazon product URLs only, with one product and its variants per import. It does not work across countries, so a link from Amazon UK to TikTok Shop Germany is not supported. There are no store-wide or bulk imports by URL, and you need brand authorisation for anything you copy. A whole range goes in through the bulk template instead, with the values from our file copied in.
