Bundle
A bundle is a main product sold with different, complementary products as one package at one price, such as a camera with a lens and a bag.

What it means
A bundle groups one main product with other, different products that complement it, sold together for a single price. Google’s example is “a camera combined with a lens and bag”: the camera is the main product, and the rest are accessories or add-ons.1
Who made the bundle decides its identifiers. For a manufacturer’s bundle, Google wants the bundle’s own GTIN, MPN and brand, “and not the individual products”. For a bundle you put together yourself, it wants the GTIN, MPN and brand of the main product.2 Yours also takes the bundle attribute, is_bundle, set to “yes”. A manufacturer’s bundle should not.1
Describe the whole package, not only the main product. Google’s best practice is a title, image and description that cover the entire bundle.1 For weight, it asks for “the complete weight of all of the pieces in the listing”.3
Think of it like this
A bundle works like a meal deal: a sandwich with a drink and a snack, rung up as one item at one price. The sandwich is the reason you picked it up, and the rest goes with it.
For example
You sell a Brackmore cordless drill with a spare battery and a carry case, boxed by you, at one price. The feed row names all three in the title, takes the drill’s GTIN, MPN and brand, and carries is_bundle “yes”.21 If Brackmore sold the same set in its own box with its own barcode, that barcode would go in instead, with no is_bundle.
Why it matters
A bundle you made carries the main product’s barcode, so the attribute is how Google tells the two apart. In Google’s words, it lets the product show “in the right situations by distinguishing your product from manufacturer-created bundles, multipacks and other products without accessories”. For a bundle you created, Google requires it for free listings, and for Shopping ads in the UK.1
